Letter from WWII
Dear my loving family,Cold nights, muddy days, stew for every meal. The sound of gunfire day and night. Right now I'm in the stupid muddy trench. Shells and eggs have been dropping. I've been having a headache from all the bombs. I have been at the frontline once and I don't want to go again. I thought it would be exciting but now I regret it. Can you please send some socks and those biscuits for the other ANZACs, thanks. I wish I could come home. From your loving daughter, Phoebe.

Mrs Ward's WW1 quilts
Yesterday Mrs Ward showed us her two quilts made out of her grandad, Gainor and his two brothers Ernest and Alban's letters. Ernest died on the 22nd of August 1918 and Alban died on the 29th of August 1918. Ernest died by having a wash in a pond but the Turks threw a shell/bomb in the pond, unfortunately he died and his family was sent a telegram from the telegram boy. Seven days later Alban died but nobody knew how. Gainor survived but he went missing. The telegram boy had to go to the house again but he didn't know that he was just lost so he kept the letter. Later he was found and he is 93 and still lives in the same house in Devenport.

Nature
Nature
The trees are dancing
in the wind.
The leaves are bungy jumping
off the branches.
The birds are chatting
to the sun.
The flowers are wearing
beautiful dresses.
The clouds are playing
dress-up happily.

Writing
I remember that I used to have a tiny, soft, pink teddy bear from the pet shop called Pinky. I used to take to the mall and to church. She came with a sparkly, mini, peach pink tutu that shimmered and glimmered like fireworks in the sunshine. One night I left it on the edge of the sofa then my dog, Luby took it and bit it into pieces. In the morning all I found was a pile of wool. I felt sad and angry. I even accused my sister because Luby was too cute to who would of done that even though I knew it that my puppy did it.
